had to put mushu to sleep this morning. i'm very sad about it, but her cancer was just too much for her.

so a stupid basketball game

interrupted my tivo last night.

rox, i was trying to watch that hour long state farm commercial, but it cut me off. now i'm going to have to find it on the internet.

i only got to "for god sakes, i'm a cop, stupid."

at least i didn't miss "i thought kansas girls had cajones".

if i could remind you of the woman who let her kid bring hoof and mouth disease to my sleepover......

well, she calls me last night. she says, "so kate wasn't in school today."

i'm like, "yeah, she had a booking."

she says, "oh. so it didn't have anything to do with the yellow sheet." (yellow sheet is a note sent from the nurse saying things like 'someone in your class has hoof and mouth disease.)

i say, "kate didn't bring home a yellow sheet." (because kate would have had to look in her mailbox at school which she remembers to do about every third day.)

i say, "what was on the yellow sheet."

she says, "umm.....head lice. my kid has head lice."

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS WOMAN'S HOUSE?!!

i think she's got an illegal puppy mill in her basement. or she's breeding research monkeys. or her kids are sleeping in the backyard compost pile.

thank god kate doesn't have it because the stylist at the shoot on wednesday would have had to pull me aside and tell me in front of the other parents and the photographer!! could you imagine!!?? ugh.

my brain hurts. miller analogies test is HARD.

at least i finished, though. lots of people taking it didn't!! and then i had 5 minutes (you couldn't leave until the end of the time period) to sit there and second guess my answers. not good for me.

starring bill mahar and jesus is brilliantly funny.  aside from his pot-smoking, bill mahar and i are soul mates.

to summarize:  people do more damage to people and the earth in the name of god (allah, jesus, whoever) than any higher being would ever approve of, which doesn't seem so spiritual......

test#1: illinois basic skills. 292 out of 300. PASSED!
test#2: illinois english language arts exam: 270 out of 300. PASSED!
test#3: miller analogies test (grad school entry exam): monday at 4pm.

Disneyland!

was a pretty good time.  not as good as disneyworld, but you have to experience the original just to say you did!
