MOSTLY because it's great visability for her and she loves american girl and will be so excited to see herself in the catalog.
and the evil part of me can't wait until paula stanfa and her evil spawn see kate in the catalog. lauren is into bugs and snakes, not that there's anything wrong for that, but it is NOT what paula wants.

It MIGHT be wrong to want to flaunt Kate's AG gig in front of Paula, however, it is human ;)
